Our story
Our founders — Jonas, Florian and Theo — are three close friends who met through a shared passion with cycling more than 10 years ago. Back then, it was anything but easy to buy an affordable pre-owned bike. When Jonas got scammed using a classifieds portal to buy his first pre-owned triathlon bike, the idea for buycycle was born: a platform where buyers and sellers are protected from sale to delivery. Today, they’re proud to be working on the buycycle vision of revolutionizing the market for pre-owned bikes with a passionate and growing team.

Friendship
Friends for over 10 years Flo, Theo, and Jonas cycle the world together while working in the same company or on joint projects.
Founding
They realize the world is missing a safe and easy platform for buying and selling pre-owned bikes, and decide to build it themselves. In the summer of 2021, they quit their jobs and found buycycle.
Trailblazing
Vincent (Chief Operating Officer), Masso (Chief Technology Officer), and Christoph (Service Delivery Manager) soon join the adventure. Driven by their passion for making high-quality bikes accessible throughout the world, they continually help drive the company’s growth.
Our new home
The company moves into an office in the heart of Munich in 2022. It's a turning point in the company's growth. And everyone can cycle to work!
